BIOMEDICAL ILLUMINATOR

A biomedical illuminator for increasing the blood flow volume in the illuminated portion by blinking a light with a wavelength having a blood flow accelerating action so as to exhibit a curative effect. The biomedical illuminator comprises a light source (1), a spectroscope (3) for producing a monochromatic light from the light from the light source (1), a shutter (4) for intercepting the monochromatic light, and means for illuminating a portion of an organism with the monochromatic light. The monochromatic light is a light with a limited wavelength. The blood flow volume in a local portion is increased by blinking a visible light of low energy by means of the shutter (4).
