<p>The invention concerns a device for defusing BERDAN-type, rimmed BOXER-type, or rimless metal cartridge cases for all calibres. It concerns a machine including a mobile hammer (1) for removing from its pocket the fired or unfired primer (23) of a cartridge case (11) without damaging same or the primer pocket. It mainly consists of a mount (103), a mobile hammer (1), a spring (19), a piston (6), a catch (17), a tool-holder (13), a tool (9), a cocking lever (3), a release handle (5) and an extractor punch (8). The machine is designed to be used by right-handers or left-handers by offsetting the lever (3) fixed on the right or on the left of the mount (103) as the case may be. The cocked mobile hammer (1), released by the slackening of the spring (19), propels the piston (6) provided with the extractor punch (8) inside the cartridge case (11), wherein a little water has been previously introduced with a dropper or a pipette, thereby compressing the water which pushes the primer into the drawer (12). The tool (9) is then removed from the tool-holder (13) and the cartridge case (11) is removed with pin punch and a starter.</p> |
