<p>An improved foodstuff is formed by forming a mixture of raw ingredients, e.g. shredded steak and seasoning to which is added an edible oil. The mixture is formed into an appropriate shape and encased in a fibrous casing. The encased mixture is frozen. The frozen mixture can then be sliced or otherwise separated into portions of an appropriate size, e.g. 40g weight when frozen. In use, the portioned product enables an accurate portion to be prepared for customers on demand. Furthermore, the product can be cooked by the simple act of heating since all necessary ingredients are contained within the frozen portion.</p> |
