摘要 The invention relates to a method for continuous dissolution of crystalline sugar (Z) in a solvent (W), preferably water, whereby during the dissolution process, dependent upon the desired sugar concentration in the sugar solution, the sugar syrup, to be produced, crystalline sugar (Z) and solvent (W) are continuously added in the required amounts and the corresponding amount of sugar syrup (ES) thus generated is continuously drawn off. The aim of the invention is to create a method which is simple to carry out and the reactor necessary for carrying out said method shall be simpler in construction than conventional reactors, constructed without mixing gear and have a low specific energy requirement. Said aim is achieved by means of a method, whereby a sediment of crystalline sugar (Z) with a constant bed height (h*) is maintained by addition of the crystalline sugar to the solvent (W) either above or within the sediment. Said sediment (S) has a counter gravity flow of solvent (W), which results in a velocity (v) in the range of v = (0.2 to 1.0) 10<-3> m/s, which is below the limiting velocity (vG) required to stir up the sediment (S) into the solvent (W). The reactor is arranged as a vertical flow tube (1), with an inlet line (4) for the solvent (W) entering at the bottom end thereof, which comprises an inlet and distributor device (2) for the solvent (W) which are directly connected to each other, an outlet line (5) for sugar syrup (ES) at the upper end and, in the region between the distributor device (2) and the outlet line (5), an inlet arrangement for sugar (1).
