<p>During pipe-laying sensors (3) in a measurement region (2) measure the tension in the pipe body. The tension measurement is filtered using suitable calculation and filter programs so that any components not caused by pipe bending can be filtered out. From the measurements pipe curvature in two planes can be calculated and in addition with the measured length of pipe laid the spatial position of the pipe can be determined. An addition pressure measurement tap (7) in the measurement head can be used to determine changes in depth independently of the pipe tension measurements.</p> |
