ROM memory has memory read and written to via connection pins and is also operated via integrated contactless RF interface. Contactless RF interface allows query and change to data e.g. device and repair parameters, last service date, results, fitter, error codes, settings parameters. Device itself reads ROM data via connection pins. Unauthorized access is prevented by pass words or challenge and response procedure.
