The invention relates to a method for data transfer between a first device (1), with a display device (2) and a second device (8). A machine readable code (C1, C2) is generated from the data to be transmitted by the first device (1), using the display device (2) and said code (C1, C2) is automatically read by a reading device (6) on the second device (8).
