The novel derivatives of Andrographolide have the general formula (I). The andrographolide derivative s represented by general formula (I) defined above of the present invention ar e useful for treating cancer, HSV, HIV psoriasis, restonosis, atherosclerosis, other cardiovascular disorders, antiviral, antimalarial, antibacterial, hepatoprotective, immunomodulating agents and for treatment of metabolic disorders.
