Various methods, systems and products are disclosed for providing an improve d welding system which substantially improves the continuous operation of an automated welding system by increasing the amount of time between maintenanc e shutdowns. A welding nozzle (28) and a portion of its related diffuser (32) is dipped into a bath (12) of fluid each time the automated welding system move s through a welding cycle. Spatter accumulation is remove via an electromagnet ic field that magnetically pulls the spatter without direct contact with the nozzle or diffuser. The continuous electrode used for welding is lubricated. Prior to lubrication, this continuous electrode may be cleaned.
