<p>An arrangement and a procedure for mutual authentication of persons, at which a first person (A) communicates by a communication device (1) over a communication system (4) with a second person (B) via his/her communication device (2). A request for authentication is transmitted by one of the communicating parties (A, B) to an authentication server (3), which generates two random number codes (X, Y). Both random number codes (X, Y) are transmitted both to the first person (A) and to the second person (B). The authentication is executed by the first person (A) reading aloud one of the random number codes (X) to the second person (B), and the second person (B) reading aloud the other random number code Y to the first person (A), whereupon the communicating persons (A, B) authenticate each other by comparing the code each has had read to his/her with corresponding transmitted code.</p> |
