The fuel injection valve (1) has 2 magnetic coils (5,6) controlling the movement of a magnetic armature (9) attached to a valve needle (13), for operation of a valve closure element (14) cooperating with a valve seat (15). The armature is biased in the closing direction by a resetting spring (11) and a second magnetic armature (10) lies against the jet body in the rest position of the fuel injection valve, with a second resetting spring (12) with a lesser spring force between the armatures. An independent claim for an operating method for a fuel injection valve is also included.
