[Also in Division H1] A rotating barrel lock 36, 38 includes a key ejecting pin 54 coupled to the barrel and biassed into the key-way by a spring 64, the ejecting pin 54 having a portion 74 engageable with a detent 82 when the pin is fully retracted by insertion of a key with the barrel in locked position the pin 52 disengaging from the detent when the barrel is turned to a second position, and the pin having a latching portion 72 engageable with the detent in the second position of the barrel and disengaging therefrom when the barrel is turned to the locked position whereby the key is ejected. As shown in which the invention is applied to an engine ignition switch (see Div. H1), the pin is slidable in a sleeve 56 and the latching portion is provided by a limb 70 on a plug portion of the pin and projects through a slot 78 in the sleeve 56, and cooperates with the detent 82 to retain the pin until the key is turned to release the latching portion from the detent. |
