<p>An image input device having an image sensor composed of chips for forming an image in which the differences in density at the boundaries between the chips are made inconspicuous by means of a small number of correction memories. The differences in density between adjacent pixels of adjacent image sensor chips (2, 3) are determined for a plurality of lines and averaged. The difference in density between chips is corrected for each line by using the average, and the image is read and displayed.</p> |
