Device has inlet for heat exchange fluid (1), exit for fluid (2) which is provided for evacuation of cooled heat exchange fluid, and conduit which leads from inlet and outlet, and gas purging exit (23) which is connected to conduit at location which is nearer exit of heat exchange fluid than inlet of heat exchange fluid, or which is connected to branch (6) conduit from exit of heat exchange fluid. An independent claim is also included for the method for using the heat exchanger.
