A method of screening a compound, which is capable of changing the binding properties of neuromedin U or its salt to TGR-1 or its salt, or its salt characterized by using neuromedin U or a derivative or a salt thereof and TGR-1 or a salt thereof. This method is usable in screening preventives and remedies for hypertension, stress diseases, etc. TGR-1 antagonists are useful as preventives and remedies for hypertension, stress diseases, etc.
