<p>The invention concerns a method whereby a request (RQ) is received from a user (UT) concerning a selected product, the user's request comprising a plurality of parameters (PA) to each of which the user (UT) attributes a degree of importance (DI) representing the extent of the binding character of said parameter. The method consists in transforming each data derived from a data source (BA), into a primary qualitative data (QP, X) on the basis of a selected membership function (APF, APD); assigning to each qualitative data (QP, X), a degree of importance representing the extent of the binding character to which the primary qualitative data must be taken into account; combining, on the basis of a selected combination function, and using the respective degrees of importance of the primary qualitative data (QP, X) at least certain primary qualitative data among themselves, so as to deliver complex qualitative data (QC, Y); combining the complex qualitative data (QC, Y), on the basis of a selected combination function, and using the respective degrees of importance (PA, Y) of the user's (UT) request to deliver a result (DP, Z) corresponding to the degree of relevance of the product relative to the user's request.</p> |
