The invention concerns a method for cooling a resistance welding installation and/or components of said installation. The invention is characterised in that it consists in circulating in the installations and/or components thereof a gas produced by expanding liquid stored in at least a container mounted in said installation and/or components thereof. The invention is applicable to welding installations.
