The invention relates to a method for establishing data communication between a base station (100), especially a control device for controlling access authorization identifications, and a multitude of data carriers (200-i), especially the access authorization identifications, which are all located within the communication range of the base station (100). The invention also relates to the base station and the data carriers that serve as devices for carrying out said method. According to the inventive method, each data carrier firstly receives one and the same trigger pulse emitted by the base station and transmits its respective identification (ID) to the base station (100) in response to receiving said trigger pulse (see method steps S1 and S2). The aim of the invention is to accelerate the execution of this method and to render the same more reliable. To this end, a multitude of transmission channels (K1 ... 16) are provided for transmitting the ID's to the base station (100) and one of the transmission channels is assigned to each data carrier in a predeterminable manner.
