Described herein is a mobile terminal (10) having a projector and camera unit (12) mounted therein. The projector and camera unit (12) operates to project a virtual display (16) onto a surface (14) and to detect the position of a pointer (18) with respect to items in the virtual display (16). A user (20) uses the pointer (18) to select icons within the virtual display (16) to provide commands for interaction with the Internet.
