It is found out that the transmembrane domain of MICA can strongly bind to HLA-B51 which is one of the alleles of HLA-B. This binding is specific to HLA-B51 and no possibility of such a strong binding can be observed to any other alleles. It is further found out that remedies for Behcet's disease can be developed by using this molecular mechanism.
