发明名称 Process for treating yarn and apparatus for carrying out the process
摘要 1,132,995. Finishing yarns. SCHAPPE AG. 21 Dec., 1965 [22 Dec., 1964], No. 54010/65. Headings DID and D1F. A staple fibre yarn-of for example polyester fibres-is in one continuous process first twisted and then stretched, the yarn being heated to a temperature which causes thermal removal of fibre ends projecting from the yarn in both the twisting and stretching steps. As described a yarn is end unwound from a bobbin which is rotated to twist the yarn, passed through a heater, around a first pair of draw rolls one of which is driven, back through the heater, and around a second pair of draw rolls, one of which is driven at a faster peripheral speed than that of the driven roll in the first pair. The yarn passes around grooves in each draw roll. The heater which is electrically or steam heated, and may be temperature regulated, has an internal smooth yarn contacting surface which singes and heats the yarn and which may have two grooves, one for each passage of the yarn. The yarn may pass through more than one heater. There may be a series of stretch zones. The passage of the yarn over the grooves in the draw rolls also helps to smooth the yarn.
