The wind gust loading reduction method uses adjustment of the aircraft control surfaces, e.g. the rudders and flaps, for compensating the overall wind gust loading resulting from the 1g base loading and the additional loading resulting from gusts, the adjustment controlled in dependence on the aircraft amplitude, velocity and weight. During the climbing of the aircraft to its cruising amplitude and descent from the latter, the control surfaces are adjusted to provide an overall reduction in the wind gust loading by a reduction in the 1g base loading. |
