The method involves acquiring images by scanning in photographic films, determining the granularity of the images and using filters and./or 1 or 3-dimensional characteristics on the image data, whereby the filters and/or characteristics are formed depending on the image granularity detected. The granularity of the image data can be determined from DX code and/or APS data.
