PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spheroidal graphite cast iron member having excellent rigidity and impact resistance even though having a thin part. SOLUTION: In this spheroidal graphite cast iron member having a thin part with a thickness of 1 cm or less is composed of spheroidal graphite cast iron containing Cu of 0.5 to 1 mass % and has a surface layer part in which ferritizing ratio is 60% or more and an inside in which the greater part of the base is composed of a pearlitic phase, in which the thickness of the surface layer part lies in the range of 0.05 to 0.45 mm substantially over the whole cast skin face.
