PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized recording device to make image recording while a sheet of paper is transported. SOLUTION: The recording device is to make image recording on a sheet of paper P and is equipped with a guide plate 16 installed on the back face of the device body for setting each sheet of recording paper and a sheet inserting hole 52 opening in the device body for drawing the sheet P set on the guide plate 16 into the device, wherein the guide plate 16 is arranged displaceable between the accommodating position for accommodation in the body and the service position where the sheet is to be set.
