PURPOSE: A color controllable organic light-emitting device is provided to realize wanted R,G, and B colors in a single pixel by varying a total optical thickness of a planar microcavity, and enable colors to be controlled without a patterning process of an organic light-emitting layer. CONSTITUTION: A metal negative electrode comprises a DBR layer(12), a transparent positive electrode(13), an organic light-emitting layer(14), and a translucent metal layer. The metal negative electrode is formed on a glass substrate(11). A micro actuator(22) and a total reflection metal film(23) are formed on a separate silicon substrate(21). Two substrates face each other by means of a spacer(24). The DBR layer(12) includes a distributed bragg reflector. The distributed bragg reflector is formed by depositing a dielectric layer having a large refractive index and a dielectric layer having a small refractive index in turn. The DBR is materialized of a silicon oxide film having a refractive index of 1.5, and a silicon nitrogen film having a refractive index of 2.2. The DBR may be materialized of a polymer film such as polyamide.
