PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a ceramic shaped article with a powder shaping machine capable of forming the ceramic shaped article having a sufficient practical strength without using a mold such as conventional one. SOLUTION: Afther laying ceramic powder raw material in thin layers in a container of powder shaping machine, glue aqueous solution is applied to a surface of the layer based on a previously designed pattern by an ink jet system to form a powder bonded layer of a specific pattern wherein ceramic powder bodies are mutually bonded physically. After laying the powder raw material in thin layers on the surface of powder bonded layer in the same way as before, the glue aqueous solution is applied by the ink jet system to form a second powder bonded layer which is bonded in a specific pattern. Thereafter, the same process is repeated to form a three dimensional powder bonded product wherein many powder bonded layers are laminated. After drying, it is sintered at a specific temperature.
