PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a gas separating device hardly damaging a gas separating membrane even if gas separating treatment is performed at high temperature in the gas separating device in which an inorganic porous hollow membrane group is housed as the gas separating membrane. SOLUTION: This gas separating device is constituted by forming a module consisting of a U-shaped inorganic porous hollow membrane group carrying a functional layer on the surface of the membrane, housing the module in a sealed vessel so that one side end part of the follow membrane group is connected to an introducing port of the gas to be treated and the other end part of the hollow membrane group is connected to a discharging port of separated residual gas to take out separated gas from a recovering port of the sealed vessel.
