PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely move up and down the height of a bed and to store a useless bed in a roof-space. SOLUTION: One side part of a bed placing stand 3 for placing a rectangular bed 2 in the lengthwise direction is supported so as to be elevated/lowered by struts 5 and 6 vertically extended along with a column or wall surface 4 inside a room 10, a rack 9 is provided together along with the back of this strut 5, a vertically movable driving mechanism 7 to vertically move while being engaged with the rack 9 is provided at one side part of the bed placing stand 3, the upper terminal parts of the struts 5 and 6 are protruded through a ceiling opening part to the roof-space 11, and the useless bed 2 and bed placing stand 3 can be stored in the roof-space 11. The struts 5 and 6 are used as only vertically movable driving strut 5 or two of the vertically movable driving strut 5 and auxiliary strut 6, the vertically movable driving mechanism 7 is provided with a stopper for stopping the bed placing stand 3 at a desired height, and the ceiling opening part is provided with an opening/closing door 12 which can be folded into plural pieces in the lengthwise direction by hinges 13.
