PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and successively remove only the line of caudal scales without damaging fish skin around the caudal scales of a horse mackerel. SOLUTION: This removing apparatus has a first process line 22 comprising a remover B of the line of the caudal scales, having a cutter wheel 1 in a gear shape formed into reverse V-shaped cutting blades in the front view in the rotating direction, a first conveying means 24 arranged on the upstream side from the remover B, a second conveying mans 25 arranged on the down stream side from the remover B and for introducing the fish body from which the line of the caudal scales is removed, in the down stream direction, and guide plates 32, 33, 34 and 35 arranged at the each upper part of the first and the second conveying means 24 and 25, and the remover B of the line of the caudal scales and for pressing the fish body with an arbitrary force, and the second process line 23 comprising the same construction as the first process line 22, and for removing the line of the caudal scales from the other surface of the fish body by pressing the fish body from the lower side to the first and the second conveying means and the remover of the line of the caudal scales.
