PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle capable of preventing water in a unit case from leaking and capable of reducing a production cost by avoiding the installation operation time for waterproof members to be installed in a storage recessed groove from increasing. SOLUTION: A storage recessed groove 12 is formed in a vertical-split type unit case 2 formed at least two case members 10 having a split surface 11 in the split surface 11 of the bottom surface thereof along the split surface 11 thereof. A bar-like elastic waterproof members are stored in compressed state in the storage recessed groove 12. In the unit case 2, an accumulating clearance positioned in a clearance thereof formed with the waterproof member in the storage recessed groove 12 on the inside wall surface side of the unit case 2 and where water invaded from the inside of the unit case 2 is accumulated and a communication part 70 communicating with the inside of the unit case 2 are provided at both end parts of the storage recessed groove 12.
