PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for detecting the movement of an ejector plate, taking no place, capable of being attached without applying complicated processing to a mold and suppressing a damage to a necessary minimum degree. SOLUTION: A detection apparatus 21A is equipped with a rod-shaped pin 22, a pressure detection means 23 integrally provided to one end of the pin 22 to be attached to the ejector plate 12 and detecting the pressure received through the pin 22 when the ejector plate 12 is moved so as to advance and retreat, an energizing means 24 for normally applying energizing force to the pin 22 in the direction returning the ejector plate 12 to the original position and the holding member 25 fixed to a receiving plate 6 at one end thereof to house the energizing means 24 and holding the pin 22 so as to make the same movable against the energizing means 24. The waveforms of the output values of a pressure sensor before and after the movement of the ejector plate 12 at a time of the ejection of a molded article are observed to confirm whether the ejector plate 12 is normally moved.
