PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire for heavy load without hindering workability and abrasion resistance during tire production, remarkably improving heat emission performance, and suitable for using in construction vehicles, etc. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire for heavy load uses as a tread rubber a rubber composition comprising 100 pts.wt. isoprene rubber (A), and 40-70 pts.wt. in total of a carbon black (B) and a silica (C), the carbon black has a specific surface area measured by nitrogen adsorption of 100-160 m2/g and a dibutyl phthalate oil absorption (DBP) of 80-130 ml/100 g, and the silica has a specific surface area measured by nitrogen adsorption of at least 80 but less than 210 m2/g and an oil absorption of 100-200 ml/100 g, and the content of the silica is higher than 15 pts.wt. but not higher than 40 pts.wt. with a silica dispersion of 7 or higher.
