PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constructing PC box girder by which grouting work of mortar injection is omitted, without leaving PC steel bars inside the box girder section. SOLUTION: Whole screw different-diameter steel bars 3 (3c) for overhang construction, which are positioned inside a flange 2 on the segment of box girter 4 in the direction of the axis of the bridge, installed with capability to slide, are used together with cable 5 (5a) of outside of the overhang construction. Temporarily, stresses by self-weight or so during the construction of the overhangs, one or a plurality of the newly constructed box girder segments are supported by the different-diameter PC steel bars (3c) for overhang construction. For each overhang of the plurality of the box girders 4, stresses due to their self-weight are transferred to the outside cable (5). Until the overhangs are completed, the processings are continued. When the construction is completed, the PC steel bars 3 for overhang construction are removed. |
