PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leather wound steering wheel with the excellent workability of fitting a leather for leather fitting part in an edge and hard to generate the appearance failure at a leather fitting position of a leather wound part. SOLUTION: In this leather wound steering wheel, a holding ring part 12 has a synthetic resin formed part 14 and a design cover part 16 for covering the synthetic resin formed part 14, and the design cover part 16 is formed into the two-color structure of a leather wound part 18/a design panel part 20 formed so as to cross the holding ring part 12. A fitting groove 22 is provided at a partition part between the leather wound part 18/the design panel part 2, and a longitudinal edge of the leather for leather wound part is fitted in the fitting groove 22. An excessive adhesive housing recessed part 32 continued to the fitting groove 22 is formed in the synthetic resin formed part 14 at the inner peripheral side of the end of the design panel part 20.
