PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ester-based elastomer excellent in flexibility and mechanical characteristics, particularly in resistance to flattening at a high temperature and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The ester-based elastomer comprises a block copolymer of a polyester-based copolymer (A) comprising a recurring unit of a short chain polyester component and a recurring unit of a long chain polyester component, the short chain polyester component accounting for 50-100 wt.% and the long chain polyester component accounting for 50-0 wt.%, with a polyester (B) composed of a recurring unit represented by the formula: -R3-O-, wherein R3 is a 2-8C alkylene group.
