PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner suitable for the vehicles including vehicles having a fuel cell mounted thereon, with respect to energy saving and environmental protection. SOLUTION: An adsorbing type refrigerating cycle 50 is used for an air conditioner 1. The adsorbing type refrigerating cycle 50 is driven by utilizing an reaction heat produced when an FC stack (fuel cell unit) 20 generates power. The reaction heat in the FC stack 20 is so utilized for the heat in heating adsorbent as to eliminate power to drive a compressor, thus saving power. In addition, because water is used as refrigerant, from the view point of escaping from CFC, the device is suitable of the vehicles having a fuel cell mounted thereon for energy saving and protection of environment.
