PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laying structure of a water barrier sheet which effectively and simply joins water barrier sheets laid at the bottom of a marine industrial waste disposal site and enables the joint part to stop water. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a laying structure of a water barrier sheet laid in water at the bottom face of an industrial waste disposal site for landfilling a waste in water such as a coastal reclamation or the like. A plurality of the water barrier sheets are laid in water at the bottom face of the waste disposal site. In this instance, side fringe parts 11a and 11b of the water barrier sheets 11 are overlapped with each other in a vertical direction. The water barrier sheets 11 are jointed by means of a plurality of bolts penetrating the overlapped parts of the water barrier sheets 11 and fixed at the bottom face of the waste disposal site. An adhesive is thickly coated in water so to cover at least the periphery of the part of the overlapped parts of the water barrier sheets penetrated by the bolts and the side fringe part of the upper water barrier sheet 11 of the overlapped parts of the water barrier sheets 11 and its circumference.
