PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmitting device capable of preventing the generation of rattling due to the backlash. SOLUTION: This power transmitting device is provided with a worm 1 for transmitting the assist force for assisting the steering force, a first case body 4 for supporting the worm, a first hole part 5 drilled in the first case body 4, a worm wheel to be engaged with the worm, a second case body 7 for supporting the worm wheel and separately formed from the first case body 4, a second hole part 8 drilled in the second case body 7, a bolt member 10 passing through the first hole part 5 and the second hole part 8, a fixing member for fixing the bolt member 10, and an adjusting clearance provided between the inner wall of the first hole part 5 and the peripheral wall of the bolt member 10 or between the inner wall of the second hole part 8 and the peripheral wall of the bolt member 10. |
