<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To arbitrarily control the emission of the high-pressure gas from a bag of an air belt. SOLUTION: In the air belt in which the bag 12 is stored inside a shoulder belt 6 to restain an occupant to a seat, and the bag 12 is inflated by the high- pressure gas generated from an inflator 11 in the collision of a vehicle, a vent hole is provided in a tongue housing 26, and the vent hole is opened/closed by a control valve 34 having a valve element 36 operated by a piezoelectric element. In the collision of the vehicle, the inflation of the bag 12 is completed by the high-pressure gas from the inflator 11, and when the internal pressure in the bag 12 becomes an appropriate value, the control valve 34 is opened, and the excess gas in the bag 12 is emitted in the atmosphere, and the internal pressure in the bag 12 is kept to be an appropriate value to improve the shock absorbing effect.</p> |
