PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen supply system in which hydrogen transfer from the first storage section to the second storage section is performed restraining the pressure drop of hydrogen due to releasing. SOLUTION: This hydrogen supply system 1 comprises a reformer 3 and a hydrogen storage system 43. The hydrogen storage system 43 comprises a first storage section 44 having a first hydrogen absorber MH1 easily absorbing hydrogen, and a second storage section 50 having a second hydrogen absorber MH2 easily releasing hydrogen. Hydrogen from the reformer 3 is absorbed in the first storage section 44, and the hydrogen obtained by releasing the absorbed hydrogen is transferred to the second storage section 50 and absorbed there. At the start-up of the fuel cell 2, the occluded hydrogen in the second storage section 50 is released and supplied to the fuel cell 2. The second storage section 50 is located neighboring the first storage section 44. Between the inner diameter d1 of the hydrogen transfer pipe and the inner diameter d2 of the hydrogen supply pipe to the fuel cell 2, relation of d1 < d2 is established.
