PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing dibasic acids of adipic acid, glutaric acid and succinic acid in high yield by oxidizing cyclohexanone with molecular oxygen. SOLUTION: The cyclohexanone is oxidized with the molecular oxygen in the presence of (A) a manganese compound and a cobalt compound, (B) water, (C) acids having acid dissociation exponents smaller than that of acetic acid to provide the objective dibasic acids. |
