PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device capable of accurately transmitting a shaft torque, suitable for a vehicle. SOLUTION: This device transmitting the shaft torque is constituted in such a way that a rotary body 3 is connected with an end part of either of an input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2, an end part of the other is connected with a housing part 4 storing this rotary body 3, a plurality of oil chambers whose volume is changed due to relative rotation of the rotary body 3 and the housing part 4 are formed in the housing part 4, a first passage 12 connected with the oil chamber 17 which is on a side where its volume is reduced and a second passage 14 connected with the oil chamber 18 which is on a side where its volume is increased are provided, and a valve means 16 is provided between the first and second passages 12 and 14.
