PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic water making apparatus capable of efficiently discharging stagnated water when the making of electrolytic water is interrupted and simple in structure. SOLUTION: An electrolyte adding part 50 for adding an electrolyte to the water supplied from a water supply port 2 is provided and an electrolytic cell 62 for electrolyzing the water to which the electrolyte is added to make alkaline ion water and acidic ion water is provided. An air intake port 22 is formed to the uppermost part of the electrolytic cell 62 and a drain port 95 is formed to the lowermost part of the electrolytic cell 62. The bypass flow channel 10 branched from the flow channel communicating with the water supply port 2 and the electrolyte adding part 50 communicates with the electrolytic cell 62 and is arranged at a position higher than the inflow port 68 of the water flowing out of the electrolyte adding part 50 to the electrolytic cell 62.
