PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bed with which a sick person or the like can defecate while seating and which can be used as a normal chair shape for allowing a patient to sit with a toilet bowl attached to the bed. SOLUTION: An upper part 7 has an upright position, a foot part 9 is folded downward and a footrest part 10 is folded to the front, and thereby, a bed part 1 becomes to be a chair shape. When the bed part 1 is lifted up by a lifting driving means 15, connection means 51 and 52 are connected to the bed part 1, the first connection means 51 allows a cover part 12 to move backward so as to be interlocked with the forward movement of the bed part 1 by the sliding driving means 16, and the second connection means 52 allows a cover receiving part 47 to move to the releasing position so as to be interlocked with the bed part 1. When the bed part 1 moves forward with it keeping a height for normal use, the cover receiving part 47 is standby at the receiving position, and the cover part 12 moves forward in such a state that it is fitted with an opening 11 for defecation, and it is received by the cover receiving part 47.
