PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an electrothermal cutter in a parison cutting device for a hollow molding machine capable of containing the cutter in a limited installing space in a suitable state for an inspection and a maintenance and always holding a predetermined tension. SOLUTION: The parison cutting device for the hollow molding machine comprises a planely substantially U-shaped cutter holder 1 having a base 11 and twin arms 12, 13, an elastic element 14 formed at least partly of the arm 12, a cutter mount 15 provided at an end of the arm 12, and the electrothermal cutter 4 mounted at its one end at the mount 15 at a changeable angle and at the other end at the arm 12 and urged and installed under tension between the arms 12 and 13. In the case, the cutter 4 is moved via a drive source 5. Thus, even when the cutter 4 is thermally expanded to be elongated or deflected, the element 14 absorbs it, and the parison P can be smoothly cut. Further, the cutter 4 can be contained in an installed space limited without wide width. |
