PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder in which various recording characteristics can be realized simply by realizing various recording characteristics through a simple arrangement and making possible to use an easy-to-handle integrated pack of ink and recording medium or an ink tank while mounting freely removably thereby eliminating useless use of ink and useless replacing work of ink. SOLUTION: When an integrated pack of ink and recording medium is replaced, ink in a subtank is not replaced simply with ink in the pack but ink is replaced only for a subtank requiring replacement of ink based on ink information concerning to the kind of ink. |
