PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage body capable of satisfying the three requisites of the increase of the amount of hydrogen to be stored, the increase of the occluding and discharging rates of hydrogen and the improvement of its durability. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage body 1 is composed of a main body 3 having a hydrogen storage alloy and a film 4 covering the main body 3. The film 4 is composed of an elastic material good in thermal conductivity and having hydrogen permeability.
