PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device provided with a mechanism for regulating vacuum pressure by taking a surrounding fluid such as air or water, into the interior of the device sucked or likely to be sucked to the surface of an object by the creation of vacuum inside. SOLUTION: This suction device is provided with a suction device body connected to a vacuum creating means for sucking a fluid; a suction port member mounted to the suction device body so as to partially come in contact with the surface of an object and specifying a pressure reduced area in cooperation with the suction device body and the surface of the object; and a means for maintaining the distance between the suction device body and the surface of the object to an optional distance. In the suction device, the contact parts of the suction port member and the surface of the object are partially or entirely separated from each other due to the increase of fluid pressure difference between the interior and exterior of the pressure reduced area to communicate the interior and exterior of the pressure reduced area, thus allowing an external fluid to flow into the interior of the pressure reduced area. |
