PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ion-exchanger, preferably a weakly acidic ion-exchanger, having a homogeneous network structure, on the basis of an unsaturated aliphatic nitrile and in the presence of a film-forming protective colloid. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method, (a) an unsaturated aliphatic nitrile polymerizes with a divinyl or polyvinyl ether acting as a crosslinking agent and then polymerizes with the initiator in a suspension to produce polymer beads not in a seed feeding process but in the presence of a protective colloid, and (b) the beads are functionalized into ion exchangers. |
